Gina
Gina was diagnosed in 2009 with rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of pediatric cancer. Gina fought through chemotherapy, radiation, and the side effects of this disease, but she never let it take away her smile. Her smile brightened the pediatric unit at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital. Gina loved her family, friends, and life. Gina always wore "silly socks", and her family continues to bring fun socks to the children at Memorial Sloan Kettering to carry on Gina's courageous smile! She was a strong, funny, positive friend to all the young children at the hospital. Gina lost her battle with this disease after 18 months, but her smile and strength will live on forever! We are so grateful to be involved with Cookies for Kids’ Cancer and for all those who help raise funds for childhood cancer research.
