Alice
Meet Alice. In 2013, at just three months old, she was diagnosed with Infantile Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a very rare and aggressive form of pediatric cancer. Despite completing two years of intense chemotherapy, Alice relapsed in October 2015 before turning 3. In lieu of additional chemotherapy and bone marrow transplant she entered a clinical trial for immunotherapy called CART19. Alice has been in remission ever since! Thanks to funding for pediatric cancer research from organizations like Cookies for Kids Cancer, Alice was able to receive a breakthrough treatment and is a thriving child enjoying what life has to offer. Now her big sister has a best friend, her pup has a playmate, and we get to have many more hugs and kisses from our precious girl.
