Ber

We found out that our son Ber (“Bear”) was a tough cookie at a very young age. The week Ber turned four, he was diagnosed with stage IV Neuroblastoma and given a 30% chance at a five year survival. Over the next five years he persevered through countless doses of chemotherapy and radiation, immunotherapy treatments, surgeries, and a relapse. Today Ber is 13 and living a very full life. He is a huge outdoorsman, an amazing big brother, and a friend to all.

The mission of Cookies for Kids’ Cancer is to raise funds for research to develop new, improved treatments for pediatric cancer. During Ber’s years of treatment he was involved in three clinical trials. These trials gave us hope when we needed it most.
